Frequently Asked Questions 

 

1. How do I get a create a Credit Key?

If you are the Credit Key Administrator, you can create a Credit Key without a PIN by going to Settings> Users> Select Manage Credit Key. There you can create your Credit Key and grant other BookingSuite users access to view credit card details.

If your role in BackOffice is listed as one of the following:

  • Operations
  • Marketing Manager
  • General Manager 

You will need to do the following to reset your password: 

  • Go to Front Desk 
  • Go to Reservations
  • Select an existing reservation
  • Click "View Credit Card Details

The system will send you an email containing a link to reset your Credit Key. 

 

2. I forgot my Credit Key password. How do I reset my Credit Key? 

If you are the Credit Key administrator, you can reset your Credit Key by logging into BackOffice to go Settings> Users> Manage CreditK ey> Select the at the bottom of the page that says, "Forgot Your Credit Key?". The system will send an email to your username to reset your Credit Key.

You will need to do the following to reset your password: 

    • Go to Front Desk 
    • Go to Reservations
    • Select an existing reservation
    • Click "View Credit Card Details" 
    • Select "Forgot your password"

The system will send you an email containing a link to reset your CreditKey. Here is example of the email you will receive to reset your CreditKey.

3. How do I become the Credit Key Admin for my property? The person listed as the Credit Key Admin or primary point of contact listed in the error message is incorrect. 

If the contact information is incorrect and you are suppose to be the CreditKey Admin. You will need to contact the BookingSuite Customer Success Team at 1-800-734-1769 to update this information.

4. What does the error message "Access Denied" mean? 

The error message, "Access Denied", means that you have not been granted access by the Credit Key Admin to view the credit card details. You will need to contact the Credit Key Admin listed in the message and request for a Credit Key provision. They will need to follow the steps listed in the Credit Key tutorial on "How to Manage Credit Key Access", to give you access.
